Another Verizon roadmap has hit the Web and with it comes 8 leaks so you better grab a cup of tea, get comfortable and try and digest all the following information we're about to share.
Verizon Wireless roadmap leaks
To top the list of leaks is the Motorola Stingray tablet and Motorola Venus Android. First up, the Stingray tablet, is set to debut in Q1 2011 and packs a 10-inch display, Android 3.0 Gingerbread, 16GB storage and Tegra 2. To top it off it will be "hardware upgradeable to LTE" but first launch with just CDMA.
Next up is the Motorola Venus Android: Verizon classifies it as having a "BlackBerry look and feel" with a QWERTY keyboard, 1GHz processor and Android 2.2 Froyo. Not much is known about the Motorola Venus but now that we have a name, the digging can begin.
In addition to the above two leaks, the Verizon roadmap also reveals:
- The BlackBerry 9570 Storm3 has been dropped by Verizon.
- The BlackBerry Tour, Bold 9650 and Curve 3G are scheduled for updates this October to correct known bugs.
- Samsung SCH-i400 Continuum packs a 1GHz processor and is being called the "Garnett" internally. It's slated for a late October / early November release.
- Motorola Droid Pro is set to release sometime late October / early November as well and is believed to be the DROID 2 World Edition with a 1.3GHz processor.
- HTC Merge slated for late October / early November release too. It packs a 1GHz Snapdragon processor as well.
- Android LG enV Pro: Packing a 1GHz processor and global radio, it could possibly be the best Android phone from the Korean manufacturer to date.
